No roads, no power lines, lots of wilderness...

Picture
This Adirondacks boat-access-only camp is on Cranberry Lake at the edge of the Five Ponds Wilderness. The camp comfortably sleeps 14 people in a main house and four separate sleeping cabins. Enjoy a private dock and boathouse with unspoilt views in this quiet corner of the Adirondacks. Starkey's Point is a 6-mile boat ride from Wanakena and the village of Cranberry Lake, and a short paddle to trails leading to Lows Lake, the Cranberry Lake 50 trail, and Cat Mountain.

Starkey's Point is a rustic camp with propane for cooking and refrigeration and solar power for lights and standard outlets. The main camp is served by a gravity-fed water system, a shallow well, and a septic system.  There is no phone line or cable at our end of the lake (although there is reliable AT&T 4G cell service), so guests should be prepared to unplug.
